Welcome to the Musical Snowmen! In this course, you will meet
several different snowmen, who will help you learn how to play
chords on the piano.
You may have already covered this material with Rhonda during
one of your lessons, but even if you haven't - don't worry, we
cover everything here.
To get started, click on the worksheet in the next section so
that you can print out a worksheet to help you as you watch
the videos.
Click on the picture to the right to view a worksheet that you
can print out before you begin watching the lessons.
You can use the worksheet to take notes while you're watching,
and then at the end, you may want to print out another copy and
use it to see how well you remembered what you learned!
The worksheet has a place where you can color in the snowballs on
each of the snowmen, places to write down what chords go with each
snowman, and even little piano keyboard drawings where you can mark
what keys your fingers go on to make each chord. You can pause the
video while you're watching to fill in the worksheet.
So... I think our first Musical Snowman is ready to start showing
you some chords you can play on the piano - just click on the Start
Button in the video below!
Congratulations on learning about the F, C, and G chords from our first snowman,
the "Freezing Cold Guy."
If you didn't get everything filled in on your worksheet,
take a moment now and do that.
So now you know SIX major chords on the piano keyboard, thanks
to the first two musical snowmen.
Hopefully, you've been filling in your worksheet as we go along,
and if you have any questions, you can watch any of the videos
again!
And now you know NINE major chords! We hope you're having
fun with the Musical Snowmen.
Don't forget to keep filling in your worksheet - if you didn't
do it while you were watching the video, take a moment and to
it now.
And the cheerleaders say... hip, hip, hooray! You made it all the way through
the final video and now you know how to play TWELVE different major chords
on the piano keyboard.
Hooray! You made it all the way through the class!
The next time you see Rhonda, show her your finished worksheet and
tell her you deserve a cookie!
